The Annual OWL Foundation Golf Scramble is an always enjoyable afternoon filled with golf, good food, and great company to help raise money and awareness for an even better cause! Join us at this year's event, presented by Schneider Electric, on Thursday, July 23rd, at the University Club of Kentucky.
Event registration begins at 10:30 AM, followed by lunch from Raising Canes at 11:30 AM, and a shotgun start at 12:30 PM to kick off the tournament. Entrance fees are $150 per individual golfer, or $500 per foursome, and cover 18 holes of golf, cart, range balls, lunch, dinner, giveaways, contests, and course refreshments. Additionally, the event features attractions such as an appearance from Big L, a robust silent auction, and a photo booth.
Participation opportunities are available on a variety of levels, with proceeds supporting local nonprofit organizations, such as Opportunity for Work and Learning (OWL). OWL assists job-seekers in overcoming mental, physical, and economic barriers to achieve successful employment and gain self-sufficiency, breaking the cycle of dependency and isolation. To accomplish this mission, they offer a wide range of supports such as vocational evaluations, job skills training, resume building, life skills coaching, job placement and more.
This year marks OWL’s 59th year of breaking down barriers, and we hope you will join us in celebrating together as we raise awareness and support for individuals in our community who require the employment resources we provide.
The OWL Foundation's mission is to provide financial sustainability for the long-term success of Opportunity for Work & Learning (OWL) and its vision, as well as other organizations that have a similar mission to, but apart from, OWL. The OWL Foundation believes all people deserve access to the resources, tools, and knowledge that will allow them to achieve their vocational goals and ultimately enable self-sufficiency.
Opportunity for Work and Learning helps individuals overcome mental, physical and economic barriers to achieve their personal and professional goals. Since 1961, OWL has served Central Kentuckians by providing services that help them gain employment, independence, inclusion, and a higher quality of life. The impact on our community is possible through support of individuals like you!
