Bat McGrath

Over my 50 years of guitar building, I’ve met a lot of people and players. 

Once in a great while my relationship with a player turns from profound respect into friendship. And then, from friendship into something more familial–a kind of kinship develops that slowly, but surely changes my life.

That’s a pretty good description of my relationship with songwriter, singer, and guitarist Bat McGrath.

Bat is a man who will leave this world better than he found it. 

He is in hospice care now, dealing with a terminal cancer with his characteristic grace and determination. 

In their time of need, Bat and his wife Tricia will be the beneficiaries of this raffle. 

The Guitar

This Limited Grade Froggy Bottom Model C showcases beautifully-figured 5A Brazilian Rosewood and Adirondack Spruce. It is decorated with Glenn Carson’s engraved Mother of Pearl fingerboard inlays and Froggy Bottom logo. 

It is a finger-stylist's dream with a luscious voice, striking clarity and balance. Bat has always said our Model C is his favorite model.

The Raffle

For this raffle, we will sell 2000 tickets @ $25 each or 6/$125.

The drawing will be held December 31, 2019, and I will personally contact the winner to arrange delivery.   As of 12/24/2019, there are still 372 tickets remaining.  

Terms and Conditions

Note:  Because the guitar is made of pre-CITIES Brazilian rosewood, it cannot be shipped outside of the US. The guitar will however be shipped to the winner anywhere in the USA by FedEx overnight at no charge.
