About

For the past 70 years, the Hellenic Bar Association Foundation through its annual Scholarship Ball has been committed to awarding scholarships to deserving law students of Hellenic descent. The past several years, we have been able to obtain matching donations for every dollar raised, doubling our giving power. Last year alone, the Hellenic Bar Association Foundation awarded $50,000 in scholarships while personally matching each dollar donated. The Hellenic Bar is proud to continue this legacy of preserving our commitment to education and Hellenism by helping law students further their education and become the future leaders of our community.

The theme of this year's Ball is "Continuing the Legacy" and will spotlight Greek-Americans who are distinguished members of our community and have contributed in a significant way to the preservation of Hellenism. Awards will be given to prominent members of the Greek-American community who embody the unwavering commitment and dedication to supporting and advancing the Hellenic community. Our honorees this year: Hellene of the Year, John G. Manos; Lifetime Achievement Award, United Hellenic Voters of America, Dr. Dimitrios Kyriazopoulos, Founder; Lawyer of the Year, Georgia Loukas Demeros; and Professional Achievement Award, Annie Diamantidis.
