For the first time in its 35 year history, the annual Alert Users’ Conference will be going virtual. We are bummed that we won’t be meeting you all at the registration table and sharing handshakes & hugs, or sitting at the bar after class sharing an adult beverage, but we are beyond enthusiastic about what this unexpected opportunity will allow us to accomplish. For the first time there will be a way for every Alert store to participate. We often hear that our smaller stores can’t afford to have staff gone for 3 days, or if they have to choose between some additional asset purchases and airfare/hotel to send their staff, they cannot justify the cost, or simply cannot logistically bring everyone they would like to attend. We also hear from nearly every attendee at least once during a conference “that just paid for my trip!”. Imagine having that “ah-ha moment” without having to leave your desk, and not having to choose which of your staff can attend. This change in plans for our 2020 Alert Users’ Group Summit will make future conferences even better and more accessible for more of your staff, and we are very excited about the possibilities.
Meanwhile, this year's conference will be ‘virtually’ like all our in-person conferences in the past (see what we did there??) -- just without the jet-lag. It will have classes, guest speakers, round table meetings, networking opportunities, dialogue on best practices, discussions about software changes, advisory councils and even a vendor expo! You can sign up today for either the paid or free tracks and we will be adding even more events to the schedule as the weeks progress, so keep an eye out for more updates. ALL classes will be included in the paid track, and the classes not marked with a $ are in the free track. The first 100 registrations for the paid track will be sent “swag bags” – so don’t put off registering.
