Battery Innovation Days (BID) is Europe’s go-to event for battery research and innovation where ideas, technologies, and people across the battery value chain come together to shape the future of energy storage.
From breakthrough research to real-world applications, recycling, and sustainability, BID explores the full battery lifecycle and the trends driving Europe’s battery ecosystem forward.
The 6th edition of Battery Innovation Days is coming to Stockholm, Sweden, on 11–12 November 2026, in a hybrid format. Expect two days of inspiring talks, interactive sessions, a vibrant exhibition at Stockholmsmässan, and plenty of opportunities to connect, both onsite and online.

SOLD OUT - The Västerås Site visit brings you to Västerås' battery innovation ecosystem, which includes the cluster around Lyten Labs (formerly Northvolt Labs) and established players such as Hitachi Energy, Epiroc, ABB, Volvo and Mälardalen University, alongside a growing base of battery startups. Facilitated by Electrification Hub, accelerating the transition to sustainable electrification.
SOLD OUT - The Uppsala University Site visit takes participants behind the scenes at Uppsala University's Ångström Advanced Battery Center and Altris, exploring cutting-edge battery research, sustainable materials and next-generation sodium-ion technology, with opportunities to meet emerging companies including Besca Carbon, Rebaba and Granode.
SOLD OUT - Join us for our The Networking dinner at the Munchenbryggeriet for an evening of dinner, drinks and networking, with panoramic views over Riddarfjärden, Stockholm City Hall and the city skyline. You'll be dining in a brewery built in 1857 and saved from demolition by a public campaign in the 1970s. It's a memorable setting for continuing conversations and starting new ones with people from across the battery ecosystem
THE EVENT LOCATION
Stockholmsmässan is the largest exhibition and convention centre in Scandinavia. For the 2026 edition of Battery Innovation Days, the venue provides an ideal setting. The event will take place in the East Hall, a modern and versatile space with a capacity of around 800 participants, perfectly suited for a dynamic conference bringing together industry leaders, researchers, and policymakers from across Europe. Its flexible layout allows for plenary sessions, networking areas, and exhibition spaces, creating the right environment to foster collaboration and innovation in the battery sector.
HOW TO GET THERE
The fastest way from central Stockholm is the commuter train from Stockholm Central Station to Älvsjö Station (about 10 minutes). The exhibition centre is located just next to the station. 
From Stockholm Arlanda Airport you can take the train to Stockholm Central Station and then continue to Älvsjö. 
The venue is about 15 minutes by car from the city centre, with parking available on site (should you need a parking spot please contact the organiser at info@batteryinnovationdays.eu)
