“We got in front of people we’d never usually meet without a showroom,” said Beechy. “And we don’t have a showroom. This gave us that visibility.”

For Heartland Mattress, the RV Component Expo marked a return to something the industry has been missing for nearly a decade. After the National RV Trade Show ended its 55-year run in 2017, no other show has provided the vendor-focused atmosphere that ensures meaningful access to OEM decision-makers, until now.
“It’s been a far better RV show than we’ve had in the last 10 years,” Lehman said. “My sales rep was extremely pleased.”
The Indiana-based manufacturer, known for producing high-quality, custom-built RV mattresses, used the Expo to reconnect with existing accounts and generate new OEM leads. Unlike consumer-facing shows where retail foot traffic dilutes conversations, the Expo gave Heartland direct access to engineers, purchasing teams, and decision-makers. They left with qualified OEM leads that promise to develop into genuine partnerships over time.
“We’re still working on a couple of leads; nothing concrete yet. Those can take a year to develop. Definitely created new leads.”
