WELCOME HUNGER FIGHTERS!
Alliance to End Hunger’s Hunger Free Communities Summit is an annual conference that attracts hundreds of hunger-fighters across the country from governments, nonprofits, faith-based organizations, corporations, foundations, students and community residents.
Join us on Thursday, November 14 as we explore solutions and best practices for ending hunger at the community level and the policies that underpin this work at the federal level. This year will focus on how we can look to examples of innovative, multisector solutions to create systemic change, and explore how we can best fight hunger through legislation and policies such as the Farm Bill, Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) and the Special Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children Program (WIC).
The Summit will feature workshops that will highlight effective policies or programs for reducing community food insecurity; addressing root causes of hunger and social justice; sharing best practices and resources; demonstrating effective multi-sector collaborations; and building skills among participants.
The Summit will highlight state and local partners who are doing outstanding work to reach underserved populations, address equity, create new partnerships and/or implement innovative programs in their communities.
The event registration fee is $50 per person. All sessions will be recorded and your registration will allow you to view any sessions you may have missed in the conference platform for up to 30 days.
Live captions in English + Spanish and audio translation in Spanish will be available for all main stage sessions. Los subtítulos en vivo en Inglés + Español y traducción de audio en Español estarán disponibles para todas las sesiones principales y algunas sesiones simultáneas.
