2026 NASPA Annual Conference
March 7-11, 2026 • Kansas City, MO

NASPActs provides member-driven opportunities for social action and civic engagement in alignment with the NASPA Annual Conference. The NASPActs planning committee invites you to participate in various activities to explore this year’s theme of individual and collective agency.
Using a model of “Educate,” “Acknowledge,” and “Act,” we aim to support conference attendees in developing ease around their understanding of the role of agency and how it connects to the work of student affairs.
In the lead-up to and throughout the conference, NASPA members will have the opportunity to examine how we cultivate agency in the current moment. For some, finding agency may mean joining an affinity group, sharing an idea in a campus forum, pausing to engage around an unfamiliar issue, or investing in building collaborative relationships that sustain long-term change. Others may find agency through direct action, such as cultivating collective care practices or implementing protocols that support the safety of students and staff. No matter the scale, we encourage attendees to consider what agency means to them and what it looks like at this moment.
Take part in our “NASPActs Video Spotlight Series” where NASPA members are invited to share their perspectives on individual and collective agency. These videos will be featured on the website in the coming months!
Join us at the conference for a facilitated discussion to share current concerns, engage with colleagues, and identify ways to center agency, both individually and collectively, moving forward.
