We are excited to announce our Keynote Speaker
Cheryl Haynes has devoted more than 25 years to graduate medical education, primarily in the administration of residency programs. From the early days of managing a faculty development HRSA grant to program and institutional administration, residency management, and, most recently, in GME consulting, her passion has been in the personal and professional development of program coordinators and administrators. She has been invited to speak at numerous national GME educational conferences, including ACGME, ACOFP, and AFMA and selected to present at conferences hosted by ACGME, AAFP, AACOM and several regional conferences and coordinator retreats.
In her career, Cheryl has served as the Residency Coordinator at the Palmetto Health/University of South Carolina Family Medicine Residency and Sports Medicine Fellowship programs in Columbia, SC, as the institutional coordinator and Family Medicine Residency Manager for the Southern Regional Area Health Education Center in Fayetteville, NC and as the program coordinator for an orthopaedic residency program within the University of California Health system.
Her greatest professional honor was being elected to the Board of Directors for the Association of Family Medicine Administration and serving as the President.
Cheryl is currently giving back to the GME community as a GME consultant and educator.
Aside from her professional life, Cheryl is a proud military wife, mother and grandmother of three kids and 13 grandchildren.
