What is the community-Conference Add On

• If you wish to attend the Annual SMA Conference intended for individuals living with SMA, their families, and caregivers, please select this add-on.
• Please note that join Annual SMA Conference and Annual SMA Research & Clinical Care Meeting events such as the Meet & Greet and Family Friendly Poster Session do not require this add-on to attend. 

What is included in the price of my registration?

• Entrance to the Research & Clinical Care Meeting
• Scientific Posters Sessions held on Wednesday and Thursday evening
• Annual SMA Conference Meet & Great on Thursday evening
• Family Friendly Poster Session on Friday evening
• Breakfast Wednesday- Friday 
• Boxed Lunches Wednesday and Thursday

What is the discounted room rate at the Disney Boardwalk Inn Hotel?

• Attendees of the Research & Clinical Care Meeting will provided a link upon completing registration to reserve your room at the Boardwalk Inn Hotel. The special room rate for registered conference attendees is $289 a night plus taxes and fees. 

Are refunds provided for registration if I cannot attend?

• Since December 2024 per our updated refund policy, all attendees paying for registration are charged the processing fees related to the purchase. This applies to registration fees of all types. This fee is not refundable in any circumstances (including errors, refunds, discounts applied later, etc.). 
• The deadline for refund requests is May 1, 2026 (refunds will NOT include transaction fees). Refund requests will not be considered after this date. 
• Any requests for transfers or swaps will not be honored. 

Are attendees of the Research & Clinical Care Meeting able to utilize the children's program?

• Please note, the Children's Program offered for Community Conference Attendees is NOT available for Research & Clinical Care attendees and their families due to the large volume of community conference attendees. 
• Additional family members do need to be registered for the Community Conference to be able to attend any of the Community Conference events, such as the Meet & Greet, Family Friendly Poster Session, PJ Party and other special events! Please contact conference@curesma.org for further information. 

Will Cure SMA be offering CME/CE credit at the meeting?

• Yes, the clinical care session of the Research & Clinical Care Meeting will offer CME/CE credits. More information will be available in the future.  Please check for updates on our website: https://www.curesma.org/sma-professional-meeting/

• All registered Annual SMA Conference attendees can purchase discounted Disney Theme Park tickets through our special Annual SMA Conference Meeting link. The ticket store will open in January or February and be available to registered conference attendees ONLY. You would need to purchase and reserve these on your own and must purchase these prior to arriving onsite as the ticket store will be closed once the conference begins. 
• An email will be sent out once Disney's ticket store has opened. All questions regarding purchased park tickets will need to be handled with Disney directly. More information will be available when the ticket store is open.
