2026 Roots & Wings: Empowering Asian American Youth with the Power of Community

Celebration, Sharing, Learning and Convening conference, preparing our youth to be both culturally grounded and future-ready in a complex and vast changing world.

Our mission is to provide Asian American youth with the foundational strength and resilience needed to navigate modern challenges. By moving beyond the pressure of perfection and fostering authentic identity and mental wellness, we equip students to lead with genuine confidence.

Recognizing that "it takes a village," we have intentionally structured tailored learning tracks for parents and educators. This allows them to gain knowledge, share insights, and enhance their own ecosystem to foster a collaborative, supportive community. Together, we provide the next generation with the foundational resilience—the "roots"—to navigate their world and the confidence—the "wings"—to lead it.

The Three Pillars

  • Emotional Resilience: Moving from "Saving Face" to seeking support; building the "bounce back" muscle to handle rejection.

  • Identity & Representation: Connecting students with Asian American trailblazers to address the lack of diverse role models in media and curricula.

  • Intergenerational Dialogue: Fostering shared understanding among youth, parents, and educators around evolving ideas of success, wealth, emotional wellbeing, connectedness and purpose.

Our Audience and their Tailored Program Tracks

  • Youth: Pathfinder conversations and Life Skills Workshops include The Pivot (Redefining Failure), The Venture (Financial Security Mindset), and Your Voice (Authentic Branding).

  • Parents: Focus on advocacy, empathy, and navigating modern pressures.

  • Educators: Tangible ethnic studies pedagogy and tools for classroom inclusivity.

We intentionally bring youth, parents and educators together with trailblazers and role models  to build opportunities for networking, support and conversations between communities.

Each constituent group will have their own dedicated learning tracks where they can be open and vulnerable as well as sessions where they come together to share and learn from each other - building opportunities to communicate, bond and connect with each other.
