Narrated by Academy Award and Grammy-winning artist Common. Executive Produced by Common, NBA Stars Grant Hill and Dwayne Wade, and Grammy-winning producer, 9th Wonder. Directed and produced by award-winning filmmaker (and Olympic rower) Mary Mazzio. 

A Most Beautiful Thing chronicles the first African American high school rowing team in this country (made up of young men, many of whom were in rival gangs from the West Side of Chicago, all coming together to row in the same boat). The film is based on A Most Beautiful Thing: A Memoir by Arshay Cooper which will be reissued in July of 2020.

ABOUT DALLAS UNITED CREW & ROWDALLAS

DUC Row Dallas is a program within Dallas United Crew. DUC mission is to unite and empower Dallas through rowing and dragon boating. DUC is the only inclusive organization in the southern region through its programs and scholarships for underserved youth, wheelchair veterans and breast cancer. 

DUC RowDallas is a strategic partnership with DISD that offers academic support and rowing to underserved youth in our community, as well as providing student-athletes transportation to the boathouse.  DUC also provides financial assistance to those that qualify.
