How can I learn more about the sessions and speakers?
Click on the agenda to see the plenary and breakout session descriptions. You can sort the sessions by tracks.
Do I need to attend all of the live sessions on October 2, 2020?
Your registration will provide information about how to access the virtual portal for the symposium. On the day of the event, you will have live access to the opening and closing plenary session as well as one breakout session per time slot. When you attend the sessions live, you will be able to interact with the presenters through Q&A, chat, polls, etc. Since all sessions will be recorded, they will be available on the virtual portal for viewing for up to two weeks.
Do you offer refunds if I am unable to attend?
Refunds may be given up to three days before the event. No refunds will be given after 5 pm on September 28, 2020. If you are unable to attend, you can transfer your registration to another attendee. Registered attendees will have access to the sessions and recordings for up to 2 weeks following the Symposium on October 2, 2020.
I work for an agency or school district that wants to pay by check or purchase order.
If requesting to pay by check or purchase order, you must use the code OFFLINEPAY. Invoices will be sent to the email address and billing address listed by the ticket buyer unless otherwise specified.
Continuing Education Credits
All attendees will receive a certificate of completion. This will be sent to all registered attendees following the symposium on October 2. If you need official VCU CEs for your licensure or certification, there will be an application/certification process provided to verify sessions attended. There is no additional cost for this (it is included in your registration) but you will need to complete an additional registration with the VCU Office of Continuing and Professional Education to make sure your credits are verified. Look for information about this in emails sent to registrants during the week of the Symposium.
You can receive up to 17 hours of Continuing Education credit if you attend all live and recorded sessions. Each presenter will provide a “keyword” during their presentation and you will be asked for this keyword to verify your attendance during their session. Credits will be awarded for each session that you verify through the survey.
