Welcome to the EDRA52 DETROIT conference! We are looking forward to important discussions and dialogue. The conference will focus on how research, design, and relationships between people and environments contribute to the creation of justice. Current social, health, environmental, and justice challenges call for collaborative and transdisciplinary efforts to pursue intentional questioning of disciplinary borders and sensitive approaches to framing and solving pressing contemporary problems through research and practice.
The conference will include seven main stage events: Opening Plenary, Opening Ceremony, Opening Keynote, Transdisciplinary Plenary, Closing Keynote, CORE & Great Places Awards ceremony, Closing Ceremony with EDRA Awards. More than 160 concurrent sessions are featured in the five-day event, including paper/abstract sessions, and live Posters and Digital Media Shorts, and group sessions, such as symposia, intensives, workshops, and practitioner/researcher collaborations. Attendees will also be able to view all visuals for Posters and Digital Media Shorts in the expo area. for the entire duration of the conference. 25 lounges will also be open and include EDRA Knowledge Networks lounges and various themed lounges that will enable attendees to meet in small groups throughout the conference. 1:1 networking chat rooms will be open during breaks to enable attendees to broaden their connections and make new friends! Finally, 12 Virtual Mobile Sessions are available with tickets. Attendees should purchase tickets ahead of the conference.
