K9 Detection Seminar with Simon Prins

Friday, April 17

Seminar Description

Join us for the rare opportunity to train with Simon Prins in the US!  This is a "handler" focused seminar for K9 handlers looking to take a scientific data collection approach to their detection work. We will be developing training protocols and defining variables to measure in order to change, strengthen or alter defined behaviors each handler wants to work on with their dog. While the primary focus will be in detection, obedience behaviors can also be targeted.

The seminar will include lectures and working sessions in a group setting. Participants will have an opportunity for group discussions and Q&A sessions. Odors provided include human remains and nose work odors. Subjects will also be available for live find dogs. Specialty odors such as narcotics / explosives etc. need to be provided by the attendees training on those odors.

A total of 10 working slots will available!  Auditors are also welcome!

Registration opens on Jan 31, 2020 at 7:00 am!
