The ACSI Musicale is a two-day choral festival for high school students in grades 9-12 and choir directors. It aims to honor our Lord Jesus Christ by studying and performing religious choral music at an exceptionally high level of excellence. The program promotes collaboration among student musicians from member schools, resulting in an unforgettable celebration.

Students will have the opportunity to showcase their musical abilities through performances of both original compositions and beloved classics, carefully prepared in advance. Guided by experienced section leaders, singers engage in rehearsal experiences where they refine their vocal skills and deepen their understanding of their role within the larger musical group.

The culmination of the program is a concert, where groups perform pieces in a beautiful display of God-given talent. Each attendee emerges from the festival as a more proficient musician, a more confident leader, and with a deeper appreciation of the gift of music.

Criteria
All music for adjudication must be published music from the sacred choral or voice repertoire and should be performed as written. “Praise and worship” music is not appropriate music for adjudication level or concert level events.
Choir Adjudication: Each choir will perform two selections of their own choosing for adjudication. When not being adjudicated, each choir will be part of the audience. This allows students and Directors to hear other choirs and other choral repertoire.
Solo and Ensemble Adjudication: Individual students or groups may register for an additional adjudication experience. These individuals or groups perform privately in an adjudication room; these are not open to a general audience. However, Directors, voice coaches, and parents may join their student(s).
The Guest Conductor makes six (6) selections from the sacred choral repertoire representing various genre and various levels of difficulty. Some years a selection is sung in a foreign language. Each choir registered for Musicale must memorize each of the selections. Each choir will be checked randomly on their knowledge of the combined repertoire during their choir adjudication.
