The ACSI One-Act Play Festival is a dynamic two-day experience where theater enthusiasts, aspiring playwrights, and aspiring and seasoned actors come together to experience the power of concise storytelling. The festival is designed to highlight the creativity and innovation of both emerging and established artists, offering a diverse range of genres, styles, and themes. Attendees can expect to be captivated by a variety of performances that might include comedy, drama, and mystery. Schools are welcome to bring a play to perform or students to take part in the workshops and audience.

Day 1: Workshops and Skill-Building

• Audition Prep: Learn how to prepare a compelling music piece or monologue for auditions, ensuring you make a lasting impression.

• Classical Texts: Dive into understanding and interpreting Shakespeare and other noted playwrights, unlocking the secrets of their timeless works.
• Acting in Musical Theatre: Work on vocal and acting techniques to improve your onstage presence.
• Improv: Learn foundational rules of improv, how to quickly develop characters, build teamwork, spontaneity, and how to listen and react in the moment.
