Bookings are now open for registered attendees for the. coaching sessions - please only select one session each, and note down your date and time.

Make It is a two day conference event, jam-packed with information vital to early career screen practitioners – and those who didn’t realise this could be the career for them.   It will have you thinking about jobs in the screen and broadcast industries you’ve never thought of like Art Department, Locations, Unit Management, Make Up, Wardrobe, Set Construction, Production Management  as well as the more well-known roles including production, writing and directing.  We’ve got the best of Victorian talent in all areas and in all genres appearing on panels to discuss career paths and opportunities.  There’s organised networking – and a competition to win a mentor to help your career after the conference is over.  And there’s plenty of opportunity to learn how to make your own content if that’s your interest.

Day One Saturday 14th May

Features a series of panels looking at different roles within industry + networking and coaching sessions.

Day Two Sunday 15th May

Chose between two streams: "Make It Yourself" with sessions for those who want to develop and produce their own content, and "Get A Job" if you are more interested in getting (and staying) employed. There'll be more coaching sessions and a "pitch for a mentor" session at the end of the day.

See the Program tab above for more details.  Information on speakers, coaches and industry people involved in "Pull-Up-A-Chair" can be found via the Speakers tab above.

This event will comply with Victorian Government public event regulations.

Make It is presented by the
Australian Film Television and Radio School (AFTRS) with principal presenting partner VicScreen, and Media Mentors Australia.
