Battery Innovation Days (BID) is Europe’s go-to event for battery research and innovation where ideas, technologies, and people across the battery value chain come together to shape the future of energy storage.

From breakthrough research to real-world applications, recycling, and sustainability, BID explores the full battery lifecycle and the trends driving Europe’s battery ecosystem forward.

The 6th edition of Battery Innovation Days is coming to Stockholm, Sweden, on 11–12 November 2026, in a hybrid format. Expect two days of inspiring talks, interactive sessions, a vibrant exhibition at Stockholmsmässan, and plenty of opportunities to connect, both onsite and online.

Sweden has established itself in a leading position in the development of a new industry for large-scale battery manufacturing with applications primarily in vehicles and electrical systems. The development in the different parts of the battery value chain is high and international competition is fierce with clear elements of trade barriers and country-specific industry policies. Sweden and Stockholm are hosting the Battery Innovation Days to showcase good examples and create an excellent platform to strengthen existing collaborations, invite new ones within EU and beyond.
