PennTRAIN: Transit HR Update: Key Legal and Workforce Issues for 2026
Session Description: This workshop will focus on emerging issues for Human Resource professionals and updates to various regulations and new cases interpreting regulations. We will walk through real life scenarios that transit agencies face when dealing with personnel and operations issues. The class includes elements that are useful for a transit’s HR team as well as operations teams as often personnel issues intersect with operations.

Navigate current wage and hour developments and understand their impact on transit employers.
Apply effective strategies for managing difficult employee situations and workplace performance issues.
Evaluate policy and EEO compliance considerations, including harassment and discrimination prevention and response.
