Why chose a job in cybersecurity?

The abundance of cyberthreats and shortage of skilled professionals, as well as competitive salaries and interesting job descriptions, are some of the reasons why a career in cybersecurity remains an attractive option.

However, choosing which career path to pursue may prove to be a daunting task, because there are so many careers to choose from, each with its specific requirements and skill sets. It’s also important to note that not every cybersecurity career needs a university degree, although having one is a plus.

From being a Cyber-forensic specialists who is responsible for investigating various data breaches and security incidents, recovering and examining data stored on electronic devices, and rebuilding damaged systems to retrieve lost data, to Pentesters who targets the systems and find vulnerabilities that can be exploited by gaining access into computer systems legally to identify any weaknesses, or being a Marketing Specialist/ sales for a cybersecurity software company to name just a few cybersecurity job options.

At this EXPO you will be introduced to local employers, hiring managers, workforce ambassadors, and technical recruiters that specialize in cyber.  You will also learn a lot about what it takes to be successful at job interviews, what hiring managers look for in the candidates and what steps to take to stay on top of job requirements.
