The training will take place April 6 & 7 from 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, at the City of Rocky Mount Administrative building, 331 S Franklin St, Rocky Mount, NC 27804.
Attendees will need to attend both sessions.
Lunch will be provided, and there will be coffee, juice, and light snacks both days.
Registration for this class ends on March 27th at 5:00 pm
Attendees will need to enter through the first entrance on Franklin St and go through security. Someone will be there to escort them to the training room.
FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certification Course
This course is designed for individuals who want to legally and confidently operate
drones for commercial purposes under FAA Part 107 regulations. Whether you are
interested in aerial photography, real estate, inspections, mapping, agriculture, public
safety support, or starting a drone-related business, this class provides the knowledge
needed to pass the FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Knowledge Test.
Students will receive a clear explanation of FAA regulations and how they apply to real-world drone operations. The course focuses not only on test preparation, but also on
understanding how to fly safely, legally, and responsibly within the National Airspace
System.

FAA Part 107 rules and remote pilot responsibilities
Airspace classifications and authorization requirements
Reading sectional charts and understanding controlled airspace
Weather theory and its impact on drone operations
Aircraft performance and loading
Emergency procedures and crew resource management
Radio communications and airport operations
Risk management and aeronautical decision making
Waivers, limitations, and operational considerations
Instruction is delivered in a practical, easy to understand format with real world
examples and test focused guidance. This course is suitable for beginners with no
aviation background as well as experienced recreational drone pilots transitioning to
commercial operations.
By the end of the class, participants will be prepared to take the FAA Part 107
knowledge exam and operate drones safely and legally for professional use.
