This is a virtual event and will take place through the Accelevents platform.
Join educators, care providers, and families as we celebrate the math found in everyday places.
This October's virtual Early Math forum is hosted by the Early Math Project. This event will include a playful keynote led by Monique Daviss, Andres Bustamante, and Jenny Zavala. The event will continue with intriguing breakout sessions featuring Tinkering with the Exploratorium, Math at the Library with Sacramento Public Library, PreK-3 alignment with Deborah Stipek, Problem Solving with Jon Dueck, Data and Graphs with Stuart J. Murphy, and Universal Design with Priscilla Rice. Each will provide ideas and tools to support the mathematical development of all young children!
The Early Math Symposium is a professional development opportunity jointly sponsored by the California Department of Education, the California State Board of Education, First Five California, WestEd, the Fresno County Superintendent of Schools, the AIMS Center for Math and Science, the Department of Social Services, and the California Early Math Project.
