Emotions Matter is pleased to announce it will be hosting its third annual Virtual Conference for Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) on Saturday, May 13, 2023. To view the agenda or speakers, please click on the menu bar above.
People with lived experience of BPD will participate in plenary sessions, panels, and conversation cafes to spread awareness about BPD and inspire hope for recovery. This groundbreaking event will include:
* Speakers with lived experience and attendees from the US and abroad
* Panels highlighting peer-led innovations to address stigma and promote recovery
Now more than ever, people affected by BPD need hope for recovery. Up to 70% of those diagnosed with BPD experience intense symptoms, like suicidal thoughts. It is challenging to access care due to stigma, a lack of providers, and the cost of treatment.
Emotions Matter is a volunteer-run 501c3 non-profit organization founded in 2015. Its mission is to advocate, educate and support people impacted by borderline personality disorder (BPD). It offers BPD peer support programs, empowering events, stigma-free educational materials, videos and workshops. Emotions Matter's vision is to create a world in which every person impacted by BPD has resources and treatment to achieve meaningful recovery.
Proceeds from the donations associated with this virtual conference will help fund Emotions Matter BPD peer support group programs.
