How Software Impacts Oral Bible Translation

AboutSpeakers

Many people around the world use primarily oral communication. That means that in order for Scripture to be in a format these communities understand, it needs to be in an audio format. Right now God is on the move in these communities as web and desktop apps simplify the development and management of audio files used for oral Bible translation!

Join us as Sara, a software developer, shares how God led her to contribute to Bible translation after developing software in the agricultural industry for around 20 years. Come learn about how software development impacts Bible translation and the technological developments in AI that enhance the oral Bible translation experience!

Before joining Wycliffe, Sara founded the Bible Training Center of Jamaica with her family. Now she focuses on the development of Audio Project Manager, a web or desktop app used in oral Bible translation. Sara has contributed to Bible translation as a software developer for six years.
