Thu, May 12, 2022 from 11:00 AM - 10:00 PM (GMT)
We are excited to have you join this virtual symposium entitled: Evolving intersecting neural circuits: sensory modalities, postures, movements, expressions, emotions. We look forward to bringing you an interesting and inspiring day of science. This virtual symposium is organized by Darcy. B. Kelley and will be held on the 12th May 2022.
The field of Neuroscience emerged from many disciplines including Neurology, Physiology, Psychology, Ethology and Evolution. Today Neuroscience is partitioned into even more numerous systems (developmental, sensory, motor, cognitive, social, respiratory) and sub-systems (e.g. decision making in cognitive and mating in social). However, nervous systems do not evolve in parts but as wholes, and under selection for survival and reproduction. The goal of this meeting is to consider neural circuits through this wider lens, focusing on the integration of the many sub-systems that support behaviors across species.
