The 2024 meeting is May 5-7, 2024 in Boston, MA and online.

Did you attend the meeting?  If yes, then we'd love to hear from you.  Please consider taking 5-10 minutes to take a short meeting evaluation.  Your responses will be anonymous and help us plan future programs.  Please note that your responses and recommendations in this survey – in addition to your comments during the meeting’s breakout and general sessions -- will also help the conference faculty formulate a consensus arising from the meeting. And with support from the Michael J. Fox Foundation, we will prepare a consensus manuscript for publication on developing the first PD prevention trials for PD.

Please only complete the survey if you attended the meeting, either in-person or virtually.

Take the post-conference survey

Join us in Boston or online this fall to explore the design and implementation of the first therapeutic trials to pursue Parkinson's disease prevention.

Our conference goals:

  1. To educate on the critical design elements for PD prevention trials, including: Who should be enrolled, What to test, and How to measure prevention
  2. To exchange insights into the underlying genetics, neurobiology, and clinical trial science among stakeholders in PD prevention research
  3. To facilitate pre-competitive knowledge sharing and collaboration to develop the first prevention trials
  4. To brainstorm the next steps and ways of overcoming challenges in designing prevention trials

All in-person attendees must be "fully vaccinated" for COVID-19 (as defined by the CDC at the time of the conference) and must verify full COVID-19 vaccination status to attend.  Proof of vaccination will be required at registration.

Visiting Boston

Steps away from the Charles River, historic landmarks and parks, and public transportation, The Liberty Hotel is perfectly located for exploring Boston and the surrounding area – particularly in early October with spectacular fall foliage starting to peak.  Looking for things to do in the days before or after the conference? See some suggestions below.

Charles River Esplanade
The Esplanade – bursting with joggers, bikers, and sailboats - stretches almost three miles along the Charles River, from the Museum of Science to the Boston University Bridge.  Enjoy a walk or jog along the Esplanade following a number of suggested routes.

Freedom Trail
Spanning 2.5 miles and more than 250 years of Boston’s history, the iconic Freedom Trail leads visitors past 16 nationally significant historic sites.

Boston Common & Public Garden
Divided by Charles Street, The Boston Common is the oldest public park in America and the Public Garden was the first public botanical garden in America.  Enjoy the early fall foliage in either of these parks.
