Environmental, Cultural, and Human Rights Advocate

As part of The Study - Speakers Series, we are delighted to virtually welcome Sheila Watt-Cloutier, 2007 Nobel Peace Prize nominee, Officer of the Order of Canada and Canadian Chair of the Inuit Circumpolar Council. Ms. Watt-Cloutier offers a positive model of leadership for the 21st century, and she will share with us her passionate commitment for the environment and for human rights, particularly in the Arctic context. Two options are available to The Study community:

In collaboration with SOGA, the morning will begin with breakfast at 8:00 am, the conference broadcast will take place from 8:30-9:30 am and will be followed by a discussion with Old Girl Sophine Johnsson, '05, LLB, JD. Sophine is a graduate of the McGill School of Environment and now works as counsel for the Department of Justice of Canada.

Dans le cadre des Grandes Conférences The Study, nous sommes ravis d'accueillir virtuellement Sheila Watt-Cloutier, en lice pour le prix Nobel de la paix 2007, officier de l'Ordre du Canada et présidente canadienne du Conseil Inuit Circumpolaire. Offrant un modèle positif de leadership pour le 21e siècle, Mme Watt-Cloutier partagera avec la communauté de The Study son engagement pour l'environnement et les droits humains, particulièrement dans le contexte Arctique. Deux possibilités s'offrent à la communauté de The Study: 

En collaboration avec SOGA, la matinée débutera par un petit déjeuner à 8:00, la diffusion de la conférence aura lieu de 8:30 à 9:30 puis sera suivie d'un échange avec notre ancienne Sophine Johnsson, '05, LLB,JD. Sophine est diplômée de l'école de l'environnement de l'Université McGill et travaille maintenant comme conseillère au Ministère de la justice du Canada.
