Participant Disclaimer and Consent Notice

 

 

By registering for or attending SSIWSC 2026 – APAC (“the Conference”), organized by SSIWSC (“the Organizers”), you acknowledge and agree to the following terms and conditions:

 

 

1. Consent to Data Collection and Use

By submitting your registration and participating in the Conference, you voluntarily consent to the collection, processing, and use of your personal information for purposes related to the organization, administration, and promotion of the event. This includes, but is not limited to, communications about event logistics, networking opportunities, and follow-up materials.
Your data will be managed in accordance with applicable data protection and privacy laws, and will not be shared with third parties except where necessary for event operations.

 

2. Consent to Recording and Media Use

You understand and agree that the Conference may be audio- or video-recorded, photographed, or live-streamed. By attending, you grant the Organizers a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free, and irrevocable license to use, reproduce, distribute, display, and publish your image, voice, likeness, name, and any content or materials you provide during the Conference in all media formats, including but not limited to promotional, educational, archival, or marketing materials related to SSIWSC events and activities.

You waive any right to inspect or approve such materials or to claim any compensation, payment, or royalties arising from their use.

 

 

3. Assumption of Risk and Waiver of Liability

Participation in the Conference is voluntary and may involve certain risks. By registering and attending, you assume full responsibility for any risk of injury, loss, or damage that may result from your participation, whether online or in person.
You hereby waive, release, and discharge the Organizers, sponsors, affiliates, partners, employees, and volunteers from any and all liability, claims, demands, or causes of action arising out of or in connection with your participation in the Conference, including but not limited to personal injury, property damage, or loss of data.

 

4. Intellectual Property Rights

All materials, presentations, logos, videos, photographs, publications, and related content provided or created in connection with the Conference are and shall remain the intellectual property of SSIWSC or the respective rightful owners.
Unauthorized recording, copying, reproduction, or distribution of such materials is strictly prohibited unless expressly permitted in writing by the Organizers or the respective copyright holder.

 

5. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Organizers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages, or for any loss of data, income, goodwill, or profits arising out of or related to participation in the Conference, regardless of whether such damages were foreseeable or the Organizers were advised of the possibility thereof.
Your sole remedy for dissatisfaction with the Conference or its content is to discontinue participation.

 

6. Acceptance of Terms

By clicking “Register,” submitting your registration, or attending any portion of the Conference (whether in-person or virtually), you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by the above terms.
