The Ontario First Nations Technical Services Corporation (OFNTSC) is holding its annual TechNations Conference and Trade Show on September 12 -13, 2023, at the Delta Hotel in Thunder Bay, Ontario
This year’s conference will take place in person. Live streaming will be available with the online platform having some exclusive content.
As an organization, one of our strategic priorities is to support communities as they adapt to climate change. This includes activities such as identifying and protecting community assets that are vulnerable to the effects of climate change, establishing partnerships to address critical climate and environmental issues, and discussing innovative and creative ways to adapt to the future climate.
That’s why our conference theme this year, “Coming Together for a Sustainable Future,” will focus on gathering organizations, communities, Nations, and Indigenous peoples with the shared goal of creating a sustainable future for generations to come.
This year will have a new and stronger emphasis on youth by incorporating youth-focused programming, speakers and delegates. We’ve also invited our presenters to focus their sessions on the tangible ways in which we can come together to ensure a sustainable future in the following areas:
- Water & Wastewater
- Operations and Maintenance
- Asset Management Plans
- Climate Risk Assessments
- Housing & Infrastructure
- Fuel Systems Management
- Fire & Safety
- Environment
- Engineering
Our goal to support the advancement of resilient, self-determining Nations starts with making sure they are well-equipped to sustain their communities for future generations.
