In celebration of the Rainbow Cafe LGBTQ Center's 20th Birthday, our
annual Fall Fundraiser has gone ONLINE! Featuring goods and services
from local businesses and artisans in the Southern Illinois area, we
hope to recreate the silent auction featured at our yearly Gala in this
virtual format for our supporters.

As our biggest fundraiser of the year, our silent auction helps us to
continue our crucial services for LGBTQ youth and adults.  Having served
as an LGBTQ youth drop in center from 2000-2018, the Rainbow Cafe began
expanding services over the past few years to include additional
programming for the transgender and adult communities. We are very
excited about this potential growth and development for the southern
region of our state, and our potential for increasing services, advocacy
and representation for the LGBTQ community. This year we celebrate the
Rainbow Café’s 20th anniversary.

Our youth services remain a priority, and we need help from the
community more than ever. Serving youth across Southern Illinois from
Mt. Vernon to Anna and as far as Chester, IL, our numbers have grown and
so has our space. As we grow into a full service LGBTQ center, this also
means an increase in our expenses. In light of the current pandemic,
funding has been a big challenge, and now more than ever before, we need
your help.
