Conference agenda

A conference agenda is the published schedule of sessions, listing times, rooms, tracks and speakers so attendees can plan what to attend.

What belongs on it

Time, title, room, speaker, and enough description that someone can choose between two sessions running against each other. The description is the part most agendas get wrong: a title and a speaker name is not enough information to pick, so attendees default to whichever name they recognize.

Tracks are for the attendee, not the org chart

Tracks should match how attendees think about their own problem, not how your program committee divided the work. A track named after an internal team is useless to someone deciding where to spend the next hour.

Publish it before you are ready

Agendas sell registrations, and an empty agenda page four weeks out costs you sign-ups. Publish the shape early, mark sessions as confirmed or pending, and fill in speakers as they land. Waiting until everything is final means publishing after the decision window has closed.

How Accelevents builds agendas

Sessions are added individually or uploaded in bulk by CSV, grouped into tracks, assigned speakers, and given capacities and access rules by ticket type. Attendees build a personal schedule from the published agenda. See event agenda builder.
